Dawood Mamoon has done his PhD from Institute of Social Studies, The Hague, The Netherlands in Economics of Sustainable Development. His PhD research concentrates on ‘International Trade, Poverty, Inequality and Security’. In addition to a PhD, he has earlier obtained two research degrees: A M. Phil. and a M.A in Economics where his work concentrates on the relationship between financial development and real economic activity, while separately looking at Banking Sector in Pakistan and then Stock Markets. Most of his research has been published in internationally refereed journals of high repute. These are Economics Letters, Education Economics, Economics of Governance, Journal of Peace Research, Pakistan Development Review, Journal of Educational Planning and Administration, Icfai Journal of Financial Economics.
Mr. Dawood Mamoon has more than 10 years of experience working with International Organizations, Research Institutions and Policy Think Tanks. He has worked in liaison with organizations like UNDP, UNESCO, ILO, Dutch ministry of International Cooperation, Netherlands Science Foundation, International Institute of Environment and Development, Institute of Social Studies, Utrecht University, Sustainable Development Policy Institute, Quaid-e-Azam University to device and advocate many scientific and academic initiatives.
