Iqbal specializes in research and technical writing, planning and training in the areas of democracy & governance, youth and peace & conflict transformation. He has contributed to a number of projects supported by USAID, UNDP, ADB, Henrich Boll Foundation (HBF), Asian Disaster Preparedness Center (ADPC), DFID, British Council (BC), CIDA, ESRA-RTI, etc. Spanning over 17 years, his portfolio is further enriched by fellowship with the United Nations University (UNU) exposure as an International Visitor on Preventive Diplomacy and Conflict Resolution under the US Department of State, and training in Conflict Transformation Skills at the Eastern Mennonite University (EMU), USA.

  Ali Salman

Bringing over 10 years of diverse experience in public, private and development sector, Ali specializes in economic analysis, entrepreneurship and policy analysis. He has contributed in project supported by CIDA, Friedrich Naumann Stiftung, SAP-PK, CIPE, and USAID. Ali has published a book on ‘Alternative Youth Policy in Pakistan’; and advised the government of Pakistan in the area of youth policy. Ali did his MA in Economics from Boston University as a Fulbright Scholar; his MA in Development Studies as Royal Netherlands Fellow; and an MBA from Quaid-e-Azam University, Islamabad. He also teaches Economics at Government College University, Lahore.

  Nasreen Fatima

Nasreen works as Research Assistant at the firm and supports in various research assignments. She also looks after internal and external communication of the firm including database management. She is a candidate for BS (Honors) in Management Sciences at Government College University Lahore. Previously she has a background in Information Technology. During her academic year she has actively worked on different projects which are: Comparative Advantage of Nestle Milk Pak, Employee Motivation at Royal Bank of Scotland, Research Project on Drinking Water Crisis in Pakistan, Financial Ratio Analysis of Standard Chartered and, Allied Bank Ltd, and SWOT Analysis of Toyota Pakistan.

  Shammas Jalil
Business Analyst

Shammas is a business analyst specializing in marketing research, product development and commercialization of innovations carried out in Pakistani research universities and institutions. He has worked in diverse business environments as an entrepreneur. As a manager, he has the advantage of hands-on experience as well as an academic exposure through his coursework from University Of The People, America. Originally trained as a social scientist from the University of Punjab, he has honed his entrepreneurial and operational skills in various businesses which he now uses in conducting business analyses of various products. At Development Pool, he has worked on Entrepreneurship Development by providing research and managerial support in various projects by the firm for CIPE. Shammas looks after the firm’s portfolio of product development in which he has undertaken path-breaking work in association with the University of Agriculture Faisalabad. He has prepared business briefs for innovations developed at UAF to help the University in pitching these innovations to commercial investors.

  Awais Rabbani

Awais is working as a Management Assistant at Development Pool looking after accounts and office management. He is a candidate for BS (Honors) in Management Sciences at Government College University Lahore. Earlier he has done his bachelors degree in Commerce. Also, he has prepared various projects including Human Resource practices at Telenor Pakistan, Islamic Financing and Pakistan Tobacco Company and SWOT Analysis of GCU.
